Welcome to 21st Century dining, where we\u2019re serving up PUR on a platter, just for her, our plastic-eating fungal starlet. She was discovered within trees in the Ecuadorian Amazon, teeming with potential. When removed from her rainforest environment, and put under the microscope, she revealed a unique characteristic: the ability to cleave polyurethane plastics and consume them entirely. She spreads, soft and supple across a sea of plastic, instinctively ingesting every last shred of her captor\u2019s culinary offerings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She can do it on land! She can do it at sea! She\u2019s just what we\u2019ve been waiting for to save us from ourselves. Come, watch her for a while while you snack from that plastic packet of crisps. In fact, you can even gobble her up when she\u2019s finished\u2013 au natural, baby.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
